Off-Grid Solar System Powering Starlink at Mavana Village Community Hall, Vanua Balavu, Lau

Solar Fiji recently installed a dedicated off-grid solar power system to operate a Starlink satellite internet connection at the Mavana Village Community Hall in Vanua Balavu, Lau. This project was initiated and supported by renowned Fijian singer Saimone Vuatalevu, who wanted to bring reliable internet access to his home village.

The system is designed specifically to power the Starlink kit, providing fast and consistent internet in this remote location where there is no access to the main power grid. With this setup, the community now enjoys improved connectivity for education, communication, and access to global information—all powered by clean, renewable solar energy.
